The Official Formula (out of 200)
Cutoff = Maths + (Physics ÷ 2) + (Chemistry ÷ 2)
Each subject mark is out of 100. Mathematics is taken in full (up to 100), while Physics and Chemistry each contribute half (up to 50 each) — for a maximum total of 200. Example: Maths 95, Physics 88, Chemistry 92 → 95 + (88÷2) + (92÷2) = 95 + 44 + 46 = 185.

TNEA cutoff is your engineering admission score out of 200, calculated from your 12th standard marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. The standard formula is: Maths + (Physics ÷ 2) + (Chemistry ÷ 2), using your 12th marks out of 100 each. Maths counts in full, Physics and Chemistry count half each — giving a maximum cutoff of 200.
